NFL Forecaster
NFL Forecaster is very easy to use. Each week you press the Weekly Tasks button
and Forecaster takes you step-by-step through the process of entering scores, forecasting spreads, saving data
and printing reports.
First, you choose the week that you want predictions for.

The unregistered evaluation version of NFL Forecaster is not limited by date; it simply will not allow you
to choose item 9 or 10 or 11, etc. Because it is not limited by date (1) you can try it out anytime of the year
and (2) it takes NO negative actions (deleting files, etc.). You can still use Forecaster to view and print rankings
and the schedule but you cannot obtain further forecasts.
What do I get when I order?
Annual updates
After you choose a week, Forecaster reads the NFL schedule and main data files,
displays the teams which have played each other and requests that you enter the scores.

When you have finished entering the scores, Forecaster updates the rankings, calculates
the forecasts for the next week, saves the new rankings, scores and spreads to disk and asks if you want to print
reports.

The spreads can be printed as a plain list or as a grid with cells for recording the scores, keeping a running
total of your correct and incorrect picks, etc.
Spreads grid
All printed reports can be previewed before printing.

The reports can be customized by using different fonts, by adding grid lines, frame lines, titles and more.
You view the spreads and rankings in the windows of your choice. The windows
can be customized by choosing different fonts and font sizes, adding row highlighting, grid lines and more.
Team Rankings window. For each team the following are displayed: Forecaster's
total ranking, offense ranking and defense ranking; the number of points the team has scored; the number of points
scored against the team; the average number of points the team has scored each game; the average number of points
scored against the team each game; the team's win-loss-tie percentage; and the number of games won, lost and tied.
The total, offense and defense rankings range from 0 to 200 with 100 being an average total ranking, 100 being
an average offense ranking and 100 being an average defense ranking. The rankings can be sorted by each category
(total, offense, defense, pts+, pts-, etc.)

Division Rankings window. The Division Rankings window displays the same information as the Team Rankings
window with the teams sorted within their division and conference by win/loss/tie percentage.

Category Rankings window. The Category Rankings window displays each team's ranking and name in sorted order
on each of the eight categories at the same time (total, offense and defense rankings, points for, points against,
average points per game for, average points per game against, and win/loss percentage). In the Team Rankings window
you can also view all eight categories, but sorted on only one category at a time. When you select a team name,
the team is highlighted across the grid in every category. By choosing two teams, it is easy to compare the
rankings of those teams in every category simultaneously.
